  2. Thats the Plan, next stop the BBC Festive Good Food Show at Earls Court in December. I am doing 'a bit of this and a bit of that' in the meantime... tea break over, back to packing.... Will
  3. Shoppe sold John, its been a long long week....and the money still isn't in my account Will
  4. Got the CD Kev, thanks matey can you say thanks to Wayne for me. For those other nosey gits reading this, get LandRoverWorld mag. I know Kev has done a great job of stitching me up so will dig out my kevlar body armour for flack from you lot... Will
  5. Well folks, from a conversation I have just had it looks like I have served my last cuppa in our Tea Shop!!! The big move is on for this Saturday! BUT. I still have nowhere to move to and a flat to decorate and tons of junk to move. *$%&!!!! I may be offline for a while.... Will
  6. my money is on the pivot ball going through the fork. thats what mine did. engine out, days work to do it +cost of new clutch and fork. don't forget to get a new pivot ball, mine was quite pitted which would obviously shorten the life of the fork if reused. good luck... Will
  7. That gets my vote for the Forum Christmas Card Will
  8. For sheer impressive speed a Mitzi Evo takes some beating, we went to watch a mate competing a few weeks ago and there were two Evo's there. Unless you have seen them in action you really have no idea of what they are capable of. It genuinely looks like they are defying physics. Staggering. Lucy and I both agreed that we wanted one but even I bulked at the running costs, makes our v8 Disco look cheap to run. Will
  9. For future reference folks please don't post pictures of more than 5 vehicles laning together. Its damn poor form laning en-mass given the flack we get from the Rambling types. I know there is actually no harm in 10 vehicles travelling nose to tail at times but photos such as those above can be used against us. Will B)
  10. Another vote of 255/85x16s from me and forget the lift kit. Standard LR suspension is well up to all the abuse you are likely to throw at it. Avoid the hype, you don't need £500 worth of OMEmu to drive offroad. If Standard suspension can cope with the abuse the Utility Companies and your average Farmer throws at it then one day a month in the mud is nothing! Spend the money on beer. Will
  11. neat idea Neil, somewhere to take my boots off before getting in. That would save the interior no end! This plan is coming together really well! Will
  12. I have always thought I would enjoy driving one Will
  13. My mate Jane used to race a Caterham with 250bhp, having been in that a few times I know I am too scarred to own one. Would mind the P38a though, its on our maybe list for when we change the Discovery... Will
  14. Obviously we are pretty much all dyed in the wool Land-Rover Nuts but I bet we all have secret fancies for other cars. I have always wanted one of these since reading Custom Car donkeys years ago Fugitive 2. Completely impractical but I would love one especially a V8. Anyone on here ever owned one? Will
  15. Can we unpin this topic and let it die. I am bored with it... Will
  16. Me too, no seriously, and not in wood. I want something about 3/4 length that bolts to my rollcage so it will have to be custom made. I did quite a bit of welding at college (Oxy Acetalene) and have a steady hand so fancy a go myself. Will
  17. oh God, Thats a bit Marvel comic for my liking! Will
  18. Well what do you think folks? Have I over engineered it? I can't afford a welder so I opted for the timber approach. I think its looking quite smart Will
  19. I am here, risk of RSI prevents a comprehensive reply I will stick to Roof damage: worst damage at some forestry land in Somerset setting up sections for the Exmoor Challenge, a bit of red mist saw me reverse too fast and I hit a tree even though Tony was screaming at me to stop. DOH. N/S damage near the alpine light was reversing out from actually driving to a punch at Slindon then sliding against a stubborn tree. This was the birth of my rollcage design. Several other miscellaneous dents on the roof are due to me walking on it for all manner of reasons. Will
  20. Our local garage have a 109 truck cab on sale for £995, looks to be in good shape, new MOT etc... Will
  21. Looks like I will be mid house move shame as I fancy trialling the 110 They are just sat here if you want them. I will let you know if I am heading out your way... Will
