  2. id say the cable is not pushed in or jammed inside somewhere
  3. I've used some that have disintegrated and had I not been wearing goggles it could've been messy. I wasn't doing any extreme cutting with them either. can't remember the make, I'll go and have a look

  6. really interesting to read you can use a spare wheel to recover yourself, may be usefull oneday if i venture overland!
  7. even with standard size tyres but a more aggressive pattern or if there remoulds, then theyll be slightly bigger than stated, so youll need to do a camal cut especially if running modular wheels
  8. i dont think bdy sliders would look right. just get some rock sliders with tree bars
  9. ive recently fitted one to my dads disco and like u just had to cut a couple of slots in the front bumper
  10. sealed mine and the rear quarter windows with black silicone as the seals had cracked. looks ok if done neatly and worked so far

  13. i used to run 50/50 diesel/veg oil, but the price of oils so high now its not worth the risk of damage to the pump etc

  15. i bought some swivel recovery eyes from them and apart from being rediculously expensive they took a week or so to turn up. kept chasing them and they just said that the sales team were busy and theyd call back which they didnt, never going to use them again
  16. just wondering if the warn 9.5xp motor would fit an ep9? what would the benefits be? im guessing more power and faster line speed too? thanks
  17. hi just wondering where i can get pattern replacement inner wings for my disco, paddocks do them but they dont have the top part of the wing, there just range rover ones thanks

  19. hi mate have been very pleased with the winch thanks, had it fitted a month or so and done some light stuff with it. no its since fitting that its stopped working. theres power getting to the leads but the motors not m oving. when you try and power in or out with it sat in the winch bumper the casing or earth lead becomes live and it sparks. ive double checked all the electrics. guess ill give dave a call
  20. i think the motors gone on my ep9, the earth is becoming live when you try and wind it in or out. so where can i get a new motor. gonna try taking kit apart to see if theres anything obvoious first though cheers, alex
  21. im after a pair of waterproof push button switches for my front winch. where have people got theres from, some seem to look like those found on tail lifts. many thanks, alex
