hi just a update got my new propshaft today and fitted it job done no more horrible noises well worth buying a new 1 brian

hi check your tyres are they tubed as i have the same on 1 of my cars and it is the tyre rubbing on the rim hth brian

hi as i was the under bidder the seller sent me a email asking me if i want to buy 1 or more so i just phoned him and he wants 4000 euros for the first 1 and 10 per cent less for every 1 after that and that is picking it up myself he has got a large quantity of them but there is still vat to pay on top unless you have a registered business the man is crazy brian

hi there is vat on the end price but postage is ok for me it is only about 5 hours drive for me i might bid and just keep in garage until a donor comes along

hi vulcan my 110 is a 94 and the drum axle is from a 89 should it be changeable

hi guys i have a problem on local roads my 110 is great but on motorway when under load still good until i let off the accelarater and then it vibes and doesnt sound too great i think its the rear diff so what my question is the rear axle has disk brakes but i also have a spare axle with drum brakes is it possible to swap the brakes to disk and is a easy job any ideas thanks in advance brian

hi have you checked your vacuum pipes the 1 for the advance on the distributer could have come off or split hth brian

why not just hire a tractor on tracks i have 1 but its in spain it goes anywhere and on any slope

what about a lock on your hand brake lever easy to fabricate with some flat steel bar and a padlock

not sure about it working before as not had the car long when i baught it it was bumped quite bad on 1 side and 1 of the front prop uj cups was broken which could of done some damage to the transfer box but it was driving fine prior to the loud grinding noise which i think is the diff but i am going to swap the front axle as it has been repaired around the diff pan with filler or chemi metal

still no drive to the rear

no the rear diff is ok as the hand brake works fine

hi change your panard rod bushes for original land rover 1s and you should see a difference cos mine did just the same and mine was cured hth brian

hi the front prop just spins and makes a grinding noise which i think is the front diff but when i put it in difflock the light on the dash comes on but still no movement maybe the transfer box any ideas help

think yourself lucky mine goes in gear but only grinds and no movement looks like im changing my gearbox and the front axle

i have got the day off work tomorrow so i think it will be a day of land rover repairs

hi guys my bottom less pit just got deeper so lets start at the beggining my 110 was driving great and then on left hand bends it started to make a horrible noise but then on my way home from work it got worse and i had no drive at all just a grinding noise so i free wheeled it home i looked underneath and the front prop was spinning so i tried it in diff lock and still no drive so i think the front diff is erm broken but should it still drive in diff lock any ideas cheers brian
