  1. hi is the timing set up ok it could be a fraction advanced hth brian
  2. mine was about 30 quid with postage to spain from uk the 1s on ebay for 12.00 quid dont last long
  3. the milage on td5 is about 80 000 kms and the tdi about 111 000 kms there was no sign of leaks on tdi but the td5 was dripping from the bell housing dont put a cheap slave cylinder on or you will be doing it again soon hth brian
  4. hi i nave just had the same on my 300 tdi and also my mate had it with his td5 we changed the slave cylinders on both and now they are good again hth brian
  5. hi just a update they are standard springs the inner springs dont move it is the outer springs that always move off to 1 side looked at dislocation cones but no good as it has got inner springs
  6. hi guys has any 1 got any ideas on stopping my rear springs from popping out of their seats it is a 110 with the double springs 1 inside the other when i go on rough tracks the rear outer springs pop out of their seats at the top and i have to either jack the car up to put back in place or get the crow bar to it is there a way of clamping them in place thanks in advance brian

  8. hi a mate of mine has got 1 from new and hes not impressed with it all the clocks switches and door locks etc are ford he reckons its greedy and he has had it up for sale for a while hth brian
  9. hi todd im glad your happy with it i am thinking of buying a light weight and converting it and so far it looks like it is do able but knowing my luck i will hit a major problem but if it goes ok it will be a nice toy
  10. hi guys is it a easy job to convert a 1978 series 3 light weight to a 300 tdi ie will the tdi mount up to the series gearbox if not what is needed thanks in advance brian
  11. hi yes hes best off looking for a 200 or 300 as the td is a old motor and quite under powered i took mine out and replaced it with a 300 best thing i ever did hth brian

  13. hi try putting a live wire straight to the spade connector on the solenoid and it should turn over and maybe identify your problem hth brian
  14. hi i think it would be better to rebuild as the axle you buy may be on its way out and then your back to square 1 hth brian
  15. hi i have a af n metric draper set that goes upto 46mm and a 1metre snap on crack bar its the best set i have ever had it takles every thing

  17. hi have a look at nissan cabstar 110 e mine has got a power cut off switch under the battery shelf that cuts all the power to the truck and quite robust too hth brian

  21. you would of been better off with the 300 as all my mates with td5s have had nothing but problems i am sticking with my 300
  22. hi what is the dealers name as my mate works in cordoba and is a landy nut aswell maybe he knows the dealer cheers brian
  23. my next job in the morning is to look at my clutch cylinders as it isnt leaking but it keeps going to the floor
