  2. Just wondering if anyone can give me info on where i can get a nut and bolt that i can fix my jate ring to the chassis. Tried the usual DIY stores with no luck as they are either too small or too big.
  3. Can't see the pics myself either, but if you keep going through the thread there is some. Just thought i'd post the link to save others searching for it, Technology makes up all a wee bit lazy He he

    Thermostat??

Yeah that's the same as mine, it's not losing water either as i keep checking the level after it's cooled. Paranoia no doubt lol
  10. Not entirely sure, check the tech section for the pdf download, should be easy enough to locate
  11. I say go and have fun, there is a very very very slight chance i might be doing the landy rally in september that covers about 2300miles. so i'm hoping if if if i get to go, that my 92 classic is up for the trip,
  12. Hi Gang, just a wee question, My RRC is now running great due to all the help i got on here and changing a few things with her. Last month i went a run up to loch lomond and all was great. When i was returning i thought i'd stop in for a break and take in some views, just as well i did, steam was coming out from the bonnet. When i inspected it, it was caused by a small hole in the water pipe going from the radiator to the engine at the top. So after letting her cool down and filling her back up with loch lomond water and wrapping the hose up in duck tape, we got under way. Every 10 minutes i stopped and checked all was ok, i think i put too much water in as there was some escaping from the expansion tank. So after i drained some out to about half way down the tank, off i went again. All seems ok now but finally getting to the question, When i take her for a good run and then stop, i always check under the bonnet, i have noticed that there is a very small air leaking sound from the expansion tank. I have squeezed the hoses and they seem to have a bit of pressure in them but not rock solid. I was just wondering if this is the norm or do you think my thermostat is playing up? Sorry to babble on. DC
  13. Sounds like you need a new lever. Sounds like there's a fault with that bit of the switch, if there's interferance in the radio it probably means it's got power but just not fully operational.
  14. Think you need to ask yourself if "you" trust it or not, everyone knows their own car but remember it's a land rover. Be prepared for at least minor problems, Personally i think if you trust the car then go for it. It can only add to the joy of it if your in the right frame of mind.
  15. How did you get on with your problem RAF? sorry for the late reply but i have been in OZ having fun. DC
  16. Hi Gang, just wanted to wish you all a very mery christmas and a great new year. I am off on holidays for a month tomorrow and wanted to say a big thank you to all of those who helped me with my RRC problems (you know who you are) I'll return in a month to catch up and no doubt bug you all again with more problems. Thanks Again DC
  17. Any luck with your problem so far?
  18. Dont know how long it's been sitting but could it also be that the fuel is off? Worth even sticking some decent V power petrol in and see if it helps..................can't do nothing but good.
  19. It is indeedy Mr Paintman...................
  20. Need to agree with the GENUINE only parts being used. I have a thread that has been running in the range rover section under "too much fuel" and "too much fuel? part 2" There's loads of info on there that should help you. In the end as you will see my RRC EFI is now running great. My problem was a mixture of dizzy itself having springs loose and bob weights not set right. So it was stripped and reset. Timing was checked against TDC to make sure rotor arm was on correctly. Then new leads, cap, plugs, rotor arm all GENUINE lucas parts where bought. It made a great difference in the running and it starts ace now first time every time. Have a read through that post, it'll make life a little easier. DC
  21. One hour and 15 mins test drive = Never cut out once. Stopped, started, reversed, held it on drive, went up the bypass at 65mph, Turned it off, started it back up, done more stopping and starting. Nothing. Even changed over to LPG and done the same. Runs ok on LPG also. When it idles you can hear and feel a very slight lumping. Dont know if it's a slight misfire. Rechecked all leads for cross over incase of Arcing (?) There was one i wasn't happy with so sorted it better. I'll still do all the breathe filter and new hoses when i get a chance but it really is feeling much much better. So much better i'm taking it away tomorrow camping in the glens of scotland in -3 conditions..........................brave or stupid, i'll let you's know on sunday LOL Just want to say a huge thanks to all who chipped in with all the advice, really do appreciate it guys for putting up with me. So there's a pint at the bar if i ever get to any events. I'll also make a donation to the running of the forum as i'm sure i'll need more advice soon . Which one then?
