  1. im after a basic loom, non air con and non egr.
  2. ive done a fairly extensive search on the boards but havnt really turned anything concrete up, ive got a 300tdi bulkhead loom from a defender, and i need the part number for engine harness to match, my truck is 300 auto, but i can add these wires for the auto box into the new engine harness. would anyone be good enough to look up me a part number for the said loom, as craddocks ordered me one, but it came a 1 plug and 2 wires, and are now saying they need a vin muber to order the correct loom.
  3. yeah ive had the same problem on mine a few times, i think it is when you just clamp to up and its right on the edge of a rib, it vibrates loose!

  7. yeah stater sounds as though its on its way out, thats what the one on your 110 was doing, speeding up and slowing down if you remember! was the ecu under the seat still? perhaps the dunkings havnt done it and favours?
  8. bob, i was reading on another forum the other day about these, apparently rakeway motorsport do them but they were expensive! Ian
  9. i think the tyres have a big difference in weight too, when i have your fedimas back off the rims il weigh one and il weigh the simex i have off the rim at the moment!
  10. dont worry we'll be back next year! any results yet james?
  11. it will only ever be used on an mot test as it rarely goes on the road anyway.
  12. does anyone know if a fog light bulb will fit into standard round say indicator or side light holder then change the lense to a red one? Ian
  13. i have a 300tdi manual gearbox cross memeber, and im probably coming down to watch 4x4adventures challenge next saturday if thats any good to you? so i could pass it onto someone? Ian
  14. im just wondering what to do on my new truck, i was thinking of mounting it on the back, behind the cab to try and get some weight over the rear wheels, but what options of tank are there? i would still like the standard fuel guage to work if possible! what have you done and any pics?
  15. yeah where that wire goes onto the solenoid(i forget the colour now) take the 10mm nut off, make up a piece of wire with terminals on, one end on there, the other on the motor earth! Ian
  16. the 8274 standard remote switches the earth aswell as the live, i had to put a permanent earth to the standard solenoids(simple wire from the earth on the bottom of the wire) then you just wire it like a normal solenoid to the carling switch. Ian
  17. a once saw a range rover with a discovery roof! it stuck out from the rest as it had the apline windows!
  18. you can go on forever opening cans of worms with this topic! what gets me is cds needs to have a minimum yeild strengh of 350, however bs1387, (which does not exist anymore as bs (british standards) has been superceeded by european standards) only has a yeild strength of 180-190. strange!
  19. thats for spaceframes? the specs for roll cage material is on page 155 and conts over on 156, it states cold drawn steel (CDS)! blue band is seamed and doesnt have a high enough yield strength! if you only doing pay and play days then its fine, however if or when winch challenges go MSA it wouldnt pass scruiteneering!
  20. where does it says this under roll cage material spec? i cant find it in my blue book?
  21. i had this issue once when a had an aerosol explode and spray black flecks all over a silver car, first off i t-cut it, then used normal polish to finish, it was hard work though, or mopping it may be a eaiser option!
  22. what auto gearbox cooler did you use in the end james? Ian
