Well a gentle laning day, or so I was told....
we drove a new set of lanes yesterday and the trees are fighting back, no overgrowth just bloomin narrow
made worse if you have any suspension lift..
I thinks a new roof and a cage remodel isn't far off..
tim I have:
under power settings
turn off device if not used for 3mins ticked "on battery power"
and always on "on AC power"
but in the car when I turn the ignition off it stayed switched on displaying MM and running the battery down quickly.
I have altered the backlight settings I'll see how that goes
thanks
I'm trying to get the PDa to remain on whilst connected t othe car battery (via ciggarette lighter) and turn off when the ignition goes off.
at the moment it stays on running the PDA battery down.
suggested settings please?
I do not want it to turn off whilst driving and I'm following a route.
TIA
Husky Ali fairleads are only available fro David Bowyer and cost me £50 approx
these are for a mate to go with the new plasma he is buying from Roguevogue
if only I handn't bought my spare I would have moved up to 11-12mm.
thanks for the helpful advice though
ps my Husky performed faultlesly on Saturday lowering out pulling the 90 out with ease.
at last count there are still two hydraulic winch owners trying to get out of my field
I got then to cut off a load then asked the price
after getting up from the floor.
I said no thanks I'll go eleswhere.
they were less than happy having chopped it from the reel
I made and offer, they swore and let me have it anyway.
I got enough to:
make all the leads for Jays winch install
a number of leads for Steve G and to rewire my own.
I doubt I'll go there again as they may remember the last deal.
I replaced mine today.
a few tips:
remove viscous fan
remove plastic radiator surround
then with a pair of water pump pliers holding the PSP pulley and the belt on one edge gentley you can loosen the 10mm nuts on the psp pulley
remove belt then remove the pulley itself.
undo the pipes on the pump and let them drain into something under the vehicle
now undo the four 10mm bolts on the psp mounting bracket.
once off the vehicle you can replace the pump, becareful not to overtighten the new bolts.
refitting is a reversal of removal
but the 1omm psp puley bolts are loctited acording to the manual.
yes you can replace it but you need to change the drive flange on the diff end this has a guide inplace covering the nut on the flange
and is a bstid to remove requiring a slide hammer and some heat to clear the loctite.
why not just buy a UJ and rubber doughnut and carry them as spares.
the rubber one is dead easy to c/o the U/j can be replaced byt any garage or carefull use of a hammer/socket best if you can find a vice.
I would change them before leaving and carry the two pieces mentioned above.
