  1. I think it depends on what you are after, Larger/wider tyres get very close to bulkhead outriggers or you want better weight distribution as the front axle would sit well forward of engine, boothy has added 12" to his truck and moved engine back aswell, obviously the rear axle back is a lot less work, I did both on my still un-finnished truck so it is 106" wheel base with front 6" forward plus bulkhead and engine 3" back, Lots of extra work, but when finnished will be worth it, Carl.
  2. Hi, Gigglepin arms are about 300mm longer than standard, you could move the front axle forward aswell to get good weight distribution, bit more work involved but i would say its worth doing, Carl.

How it worked was pick a ticket out of the bag some had 2 punch numbers on and some single, go do them then go back to punch control and then same again, we wer'nt shure about this way at first but it worked good becouse you know that no one else is in the punch, and after every 5 punches you got some ref numbers to a bonous punch, Carl.
  18. Support the northern events, anyway we need to talk about these axles, Carl.
  19. But you need to remember that the more experienced drivers where beginners at some point so if you are the less experienced driver then your own truck will evolve with money spent on it over the years and more experienced you become so really it goes full circle, and the events can be more extreme than west harptree, corwen was a interesting event, Did you compete or spectate at weekend, Carl.
  20. We have chosen to have helmets before it is compulsery so have got a msa spec plus motor sport type lend themself to the intercoms which is a good thing, organisers may just go the MSA way to save confusion, Carl.
  21. The helmets have to meet certain standards and water sport/skateboard type don't meet it, the link nobby has put on is a popular type and this has lots of choice/price from various manufactures, If you are going to get one before it becomes compulsory then get one of the correct type then you don't buy twice, http://www.tayforestchallenge.org.uk/rules_and_regs.htm This is the rules copied from the tay and explains a lot about the subject, Carl.
  22. You may need to have one made at a fab shop, never seen one so big, Carl.
  23. I think that the buxton one will tell you if there is enough interest, like anything new it will take time for it to get established and once the word gets about then you shoud get the following, Carl.
