Anybody available for some greenlaning in the lake district Cumbria on or about the last week of november I have approached KANKKU but Iam unsure if I want to go with the company (£79 for tagging along in my vehicle or £149-249 for 2 to 5hours tuition) or with fellow 4x4's Please I don't wanna end up always walking lanes when I'm there...........

On the PUG I owned it had electric windows and when they started going faulty I managed to get a winder that enabled to get the windows down in an emergancy pop cap covering motor and place over and wind in the normal manner!

From what I've seen flushed or recessed never proud but there again I've never worked on them on seen them on stripped engines

I'd say yes if you can identify which wire does what thet you can use a shorting strap to mimic the switch power to down term window should go down power to up term window go up

I would guess your Switches are sha99ed replace them. circuitry is easy voltage one way windows up reverse voltage windows down (Basically)

Yes did it to my 1985 90 as above most wire plug in and a tad of body modding no sweat if you have bullit connectors and don't wanna modd the wiring then go to landrover they have the converts and they aint to expensive

As the title says has anybody used kankku an offroading company in the lakedistrict it's all to do with this thread many thanks would rather pay this company and use my own vehicle than spend days trying to find out the relevent details of the local authority rights of way chap

OK after I stopped to make a phone call on the way home this morning, landy wouldn't start (just turned over and over quickly)took several goes this morning after dropping my lad at the grandparents (so I can sleep working nights) it did it again this time I rocked it backwards using reverse gear it did it once about a month ago but that time it seemed to be the immobiliser (reset it it started straight away) do you think its the starter motor or is it the immobiliser ???? All I know about dizzy and spark plugs is don't heat shrink the cable to the spark plugs and to the dizzy cap. screw in the spark plugs and then spray copious amounts of cleaning fluid into it. wipe off them silicon seal the dizzy cap on. Then get a mate to turn it over whilst leaning over the dizzy cap result BOOM, POP, ARRRGGGHHHH followed by three mate, one a responsible first aider, falling over and slowly dying from laughing
