  1. hope you get it back safe and sound , im always on ebay after parts keep your eyes on there i do the same ....one thing though i thought a D reg was 1987... good luck.
  2. http://www.vehicle-wiring-products.eu/VWP-...me/homepage.php try these too ive used their products to extend my wiring on my 110 and wire seems good quality too.
  3. as title sugests what length are the rear / front springs (on the vehicle) at standard so i can determine whether they are 2" lifters or not? cheers oh by the way there is no interior / floors / wings / bonnet on either , dont think this would make much difference.
  4. as title sujests my cross member on me 110 that the 'A' frame mounts to is rotten i have removed the floor to get access to it but after loads of searching still dont know the part number or what it correct name is, and while we're on the subject my under floor cross members are rotten too there are 5 altogether but 1 is longer than the other 4 as it sits under the middle row seats, whereas the others are just under the rear floor and end at the wheel arches, any part numbers for these? is there an online EXTENSIVE catalogue for all parts? thanks in advance guys
  5. we have fitted a 300 tdi disco engine into a 200 tdi defender the alternator plug on the defender has a thick brown wire (live)? thick brown and black wire (live)? thin brown and yellow wire (charge light)? the alternator itself is a bolt on terminal affair for two wires and a spade for one wire and i have the bit of disco loom attached to them there is a very very thick brown wire (i think i attach the two thick brown and brown/black wires from the loom)? a thin brown and yellow wire ( i think the same wire from loom goes to this)? and a white and black wire on a spade conector ( i think this would of been for a rev counter in the disco) am i right with the above? next ive been told the 300tdi disco water temp sensor wont work in the 200tdi defender if not what part do i need? part number? and finally there is an oil breather that conects to a black canister near and between injectors 2 and 3 there is a place on side of canister to connect a tube looks around a 16mm internal diameter tube needed what does this connect to? cheers for the help
  6. as title sujests im in need of a gearbox tunnel for my 110 i need the 2 pieces , the bit that bolts to the bulkhead and the bit the gearstick comes through. any ideas ... either new or used.
  7. i assume by cross member you mean the one under the rear seat location, looks like a big fat round tube, if this is so i have a 300 tdi disco chassis that im scrapping once weve pinched most of the bits of it the far rear body out riggers were cut off but if you want the other one i meantioned then you can for free yes as i have received bits from other generous members for free im extending the gratitude you will need to collect from stoke on trent or we can arrange a courier ive sent you my phone number on a pm as im busy this week and wont be on here
  8. some muppet in a rover run in the rear of the 110 i had to reverse it into a bridge to get them to replace the rear cross member that hadnt budged in the crash , m&m of stoke did a cracking job and cos i needed a towing vehicle while mine was in so they sourced a subaru forester 2.5 turbo sti jobbie on hire AND had a brand new towbar fitted for me .... if its in for more than a day ask for a vehicle to run round in, like for like.
  9. are the axles different from a 95 disco to a 84 110? i know the rear on my 110 is sailsbury but could i still use the disco one as its mint and free , oh and are the front axles any different? cheers
  10. as title do i need an lt77 tunnell or is it easy to modify?
  11. update ... (sold the disco 200 tdi engine) bear in mind i have just removed the LT95 4 speed box as it was a v8 once upon a time ... now installing the disco 300tdi and defender lt77 box into the 1984 110, question is... which clutch kit? which flywheel? and which slave cylinder? i already have a 2.5d flywheel housing,( THANKS TO LES H ) Q 1.....ive got a disco 300tdi flywheel (can i keep this?) or do i need a different one? Q 2......i then assume i need a clutch kit for a 2.5d na am i right? ( part numbers, places to purchase?) Q 3.......a slave cylinder from what? ( part numbers, places to purchase?) will my origional pipes/ unions fit to slave cyl or do i need new?( part numbers, places to purchase?) Q 4........ALSO can i use the origional props or do i need different? if so which ones? ( AXLE's origional as fitted to v8 rear sailsbury drum axle and front axle....is this front some form of sailsbury axle too?)
  12. we are installing a discovery 200tdi, defender lt77 and 200tdi loom in a 110 1984 formerly a v8 we also have a discovery 300tdi given to us is it worth saving in case the 200 ever gives up if so will the lt77 bolt straight on the 300 engine (with the defender td flywheel housing) and do i need a different exhaust downpipe for the 300 tdi?
  13. s the title reads been given a rolling chassis n reg 300tdi any way of telling whether its still got its origional engine or a 200tdi? reason is i have a 200tdi lying around in the shed and neither look different
  14. i have been given, for a few jobs and a beer, a discovery rolling chassis with engine/ box's etc its a 1995 N reg so as the title suggests is it a 300 tdi or 200 and will it be fitted with an lt77 or an r380 box? reason for this is we are in the process of fitting a discovery 200tdi and defender lt77 in a 110 defender could i ( if the 200tdi gives up in the future) fit (if it is) the 300tdi (which i suspect it is) and with my defender td flywheel housing would a defender lt77 box marry up to the 300tdi disco engine?
  15. buy a bowler it will be cheaper, not to mention safer than traveling at warp speed in an object as aerodynamic as a brick
  16. yes i got a copy of the lrw and it does say it affects us in 2010 im a hgv driver there are LEZ signes going up on m1 before the m25 junction does that mean the m25 is included?
  17. i have the whole disco running chassis that drives where am i looking for this glow plug relay timer? doesn't it take a feed from the temp sensor too as they operate longer when cold? cheers chaps
  18. i have an isuzu td installed so most has already been changed but when converted from the v8 no glow plugs have ever been wired up its never needed them even when really frosty but now going to convert to a disco 200tdi which i assume will need them wired up how do i go about this and what will i need to get off the disco loom ?
