  1. What size/offset wheels do you use? i was using them on wolf/130 6.5x16 when i first got them(pre lift), now on 7x16 modulars. With the wolf wheels steering lock was reduced and the back wheels used to rub as the wheel rose into the arch. Luke
  2. 255/85R16 are thinner than 33x12.5 but about the same height, they fit without lift but rub on articulation without any lift, i've now got about 1.5" lift and they're great.
  3. My heater is toasty once the engine is up to temperature - about 6 miles running. completly standard unit. Worth checking the cables to make sure they are correctly adjusted and tight, and that the fan switch contacts are ok. Luke
  4. Yup, i wrote the software myself, in VB6, it communicates with the external interface over the parallel port, if you'd like to discuss more send me a PM or something and i'd be happy to go into more detail with you, or i could post if others are interested too. Luke
  5. Yup it's something i've though about, i'll have a wire link onboard to bypass the thermostat and additional relay if it ever conks out, forcing permanant cooling. better that than a cooked engine as you said. Luke
  6. yes there are on/off/PC control switches on all of the relays, only the auxilary lights are controlled by the PC, standard side/dipped/main beam is still controlled using the stork. the fan control isn't wired up yet, as the fan isn't fitted, but it will be backed up with external switches and LEDs so i know whats going on. the overide will be to turn the fan off for wading. i can see no need to be able to overide it to on - the thermostat should do that by itself. 2000+ tracks of music, saves changing CDs Luke
  7. I have an ITX size pc built into my cubby box, with a 7" touchscreen, sound through a 4x50w stereo, and the eTrex hooked up for GPS/mapping. Also have an 8 relay output/ 6 input / 2x analogue input interface unit that i desgined and built. all fits in quite snuggly Luke
  8. I've fitted a VSR (Voltage Sensitive Relay) too, a great bit of kit, no mucking around behind the dash or anywhere else for alternator light wires etc. Just the live from the Engine Battery, a live to the Aux Battery, and a little earth wire for it to all work. Really is Fit and Forget. the only thing it doesn't do is emergency self jump starts. I wouldn't just stick a switch in to overide the VSR, as this will parallel both batteries, and if the Engine Battery is proper dead, paralleling it with the Aux Battery will kill that too. Personally, if/when i end up in this position, i'll just swap the wires over.... HTH Luke
  9. mmmmmmmmm yup! lookin' good! is this pic any good for using on the forum design? Luke
