Sorry Bob and if you thought Clyro has some steep banks they are just baby hills compared to up there, all jokes aside as Carl said it is a cracking site just watch out for the steep hills at the top of the site, the boggy section at the btm and the dead sheep in the middle and you should do ok Nobby

  5. Did any one find a staun internal beadlocker around SS2 if so could you keep it for Austin please some of the punches looked ok until you started them then once in it got a bit serious and a bit sweaty on the ar$e cheeks we had quite a few scary moments and quite a few dull ones to go with it but we had our 1st class win and 10th overall which myself and Nath are well happy with see yuhs all at North Wales Nobby

  8. im using the same and so are quite a few other teams, some have been moded to fit in ear defenders are said above some moded on to computer headsets with a head torch thingy but we have gone for the helmet route as id rather get used to wearing one now as i think it will eventually become that all events will require them but not only that you only have one head and i want to look after mine Gwyn Lewis sells them Gwyn's Site Nobby

  15. well all done and what a difference it makes its like having new calipers that you can forget about i think i may just do the same to the back for the sack of that kind of money we used the Bearmach kit and no probs with seals popping highly recommend this for any one who plays in the mud....................
  16. well done Boothy good result at last for you and the truck finished in one piece
  17. funny you should bring this up ive just had the same problem......... ive put 300 tdi 4 pots on the back of the SJ as my fiddles wernt working properly and they were tough to get back working but after plenty of WD and a few pairs of G clamps we got them back to normal ish BUT the front was a totally different story these were solid and like you said they were pitted to death and would not return so a quick phone call to my mate whois the manager of Bearmach in Abergavenny (01873 858085 ask for Andy Dawkins) and i was left with 3 options 1) a new pair of calipers which worked out about £180.00 i think (but in time they will still go the same way as the calipers i have already got 2) fit a new piston & seal kit (chrome) 3) the option i went for fit a new stainless steel piston & seal kit which once done should last for ever and a day once done, i think these worked out about £80 for the lot apparently they are a bit fiddly to fit as you have to split the caliper to get best results and then spend hours cleaning all the crud and carp out of them, im lucky my mate has done it before so he will save me a lot of swearing and screaming i think ours got so bad as we only use the SJ once or may be twice a month as its only for challenges Nobby
  18. i find that new synthetic rope does go back on its self a lot more than a worn rope
  19. well then what? if your wondering about the event it is prob still going
  20. they havent gone up much considering the price on steel Nobby
  21. i think your on the right track but with a bit of potching you can change the ends with the guard in place but with a lot of swearing
  22. ive still bent the end of the bar even with Gwyns guard
