  1. when i ordered them i had a good deal as we ordered 3 at the same time and they did knock a far bit off, i know they are expensive and i plan on keeping it for a good few years so the way i looked at it if we decided to enter a few diff events including the tay or similar we know that our helmets will be ok
  2. after a few pointers from different people we decided to use the Tay Regs as the AWDC dnt require them as of yet. we ended up going for Impact Velocity as we found it had better view area to the others and was very comfy, but saying that a few mates have got the Sparco clubman and found them to be good as well it does feel really strange running around with 1 on but you soon get used to it Nobby
  3. Thats a good point Chris... as it is there are enough idiots on the byways now can you imagine what it would be like if the place was shut for good, ive been there many many times and have enjoyed although there are always a few idiots who spoil it by driving / riding when totally hammered, but if he sorted that out and put some of the money into improving facilities there rather than stashing it under his matress the place could be a cracking site for all to use just my 2 pence worth Nobby
  4. im knackered but what a fab day shame about the 150 points penalty i had ( 1st and last) tnx to all concerned Nobby

  9. im not sure tbh give Neil Witford a ring and perhaps he can put you in touch with 1 of the scrutineers and get sorted 1st as last, i had mine from Merlin Motorsport worked out about 40 quid delivered but they did say you need to have it pointing up
  10. shame you cant make it Boothy, tbh it was touch and go that we would make it but after loads of work untill silly oclock it is nie on ready but one good thing has come out of you not entering is we can all have lie in as there wont be sound of a V8 being remapped at very early oclock may see you at Kirton Nobby

  13. dnt you think your ribs had a battering last year? i d be looking at some more protection  taking shape mate and i thought i had a big job
  14. as James said above and a real plus point is the weight that it saves im sure it is only 8Kgs compared to some coming in at OVER 20Kgs get 1 you know you want to................
  15. still not ready.......... and how many days to go i think i will be able to test drive it when i put it on the trailer to leave for Wellington  but from what ive heard i wont be the only 1 i just hope all our hard work pays off on the day Nobby
  16. dnt know if we will be there due to both the Sj not being ready and me still recovering from the op, but the site is excellant im not sure if Neil is planning on using both sites but i think id compare it to a dryer version of Tong Nobby
  17. I wish my list was that small mines on 2 pages and still growing
  18. why not contact Saley on here if its Hydraulic you want he does a Stud winch and its a good bit of kit, there was a test on it with 1 of the LR mags
  19. i had 1 from my mate who works in a main dealership but i found it didnt leave enough air in so i think your better off getting the proper job Nick do you still want these disks? give me a bell Nobby
  20. i used to have a 91 plate Pajero 2.5Td and it was ok done the job, but i sold it and bought a 03 plate 3.0ltr Patrol and it is awesome the thing will pull a house down and there is plenty of room for storage I towed 300 miles each way to Kirton and i used 70 quid each way i think i worked it out at 24 to the gallon which i think is very good so the patrol gets my vote although i nearly bought a Landcrusier but they hold their money a lot more than the Patrol Nobby
  21. ive seen both steel and synthetic snap and yes steel does make more recoil and will make more of a mess on a person or vehicle but surely there shouldnt be much difference with people having a "sail" to something heavy that slides along the rope Nobby
