pgrbff Posted January 9, 2018 Share Posted January 9, 2018 The power steering has started to play up on my hi-cap. On the one hand I thought it may be the steering column joints as it tends to be stiff, loose, stiff, loose when doing slow turns like 3-point, but on the other hand if increase the revs it tends to loosen up which I thought would indicate the pump. Any ideas? Are the pumps servicable? It can also be stiff when slowing down to turn on tight corners. If I need to replace the pump are the ZF OK? Snagger Posted January 10, 2018 Share Posted January 10, 2018 You need to remove the lower column, but it's easy - undo the pinch bolts at each end and on the sliding joint and then slide them off the splines.
