Nice job but....

They forgot to weld the bonnet hinges on?! Four big plug welds on each one, not enough meat there to tap into.

I think these were originally held on with 4 pan head bolts, although they did say they had to drill them out.

This picture shows the bolt holes where they were originally, not sure if they were just bolted through into a thread but they had to drill the bolts out.

Bonnet hinge part on bulkhead are welded on AFAIK, my '89 110's definitely are, just looked in my upto 1986 110 parts book, no blot on bonnet hinge parts on the bulkhead.

Oo er, maybe the squaddies couldn’t be bothered to weld and just bolted it on?

Hoping some bolts will hold it ok then 🤷🏻‍♂️ It’s bloody heavy with the spare wheel on!

Ah yes now I see!

To be honest I don’t want to take it back as I’ve nearly got it all back together, dont want it all apart and sprayed up again 🤦🏻‍♂️

The garage hand (labourer) thought they were bolts and drilled them out. There are rivets holding it on temporarily as they couldn’t find bolts to fit (no surprise now). The temp rivets (2 on each hinge so far) appear to be holding it well 🤷🏻‍♂️

Ive posted what it should be like below 🙄
