DAN82SED
Hi guys. I've recently bought a 1985 110 with what I was told is an Isuzu engine. I'm struggling to identify what engine it is. It has a conversion plate and is running a lt77 box Any ideas? Thanks in advance
DAN82SED
Ok, so it appears to be a Mazda t3500 engine not an Isuzu. Still struggling to find spec on engine and wether it is a good engine for a 110. 3.5lt Na. Any info would be greatly appreciated
Retroanaconda
It’s not the engine from the T3500, those have the 3.5 litre SL unit. Yours looks like a 3.0 litre HA unit from a T3000. Like this one: http://car-from-uk.com/sale.php?id=81711&country=uk Probably a conversion from Motor and Diesel back in the day.
DAN82SED
Thanks for the info. Do you know anything about these engines? Trying to find out how powerful they are
Arjan
Looks like an Mazda. Make more clear pics and exp. of the injectorpump and the type plate. M&D may be able to tell you more
DAN82SED
Retroanaconda was spot on. It looks to be a Perkins 4.182 made under licence by Mazda. Sill can’t find definitive torque and horse power figures. Only thing I found said 140bhp, but I find that hard to believe as it’s only a 3lt and none turbo
DaveSIIA
The sales brochure from Watson & Turner might help you. I had a turbo-wastegated version in a RRC auto and it well very well compared to a 200Tdi. Watson_Turner_Mazda.pdf
DAN82SED
Thanks Dave, very interesting read, quite shocked at the price of the conversion for 1992.
Lightning
How does it drive? That’s the important thing, if it drives well then l guess the engine is fine for your 110.

Felyks
Hello everyone, Hope we are all fine. Which engi e from ISUZU ELF or MITSUBISHI CANTER can fully fit as a replacement for MAZDA SL (T3500)? Thank you very much.
