enen
Chasing a clunk in the drivetrain, i found the splines on the output shaft of the gearbox worn. Unfortunate as this transfer case is the "G" model which has the uprated gear So gearbox needs to be torn apart. Might as well do clutch while box is out. Any recommendations on a clutch/friction plate? Anything else i should change now? Thank you
landroversforever
Just a decent standard one would be good enough. Unless you're doing a lot of work in which case I'd go for an uprated one from Clutchfix.

enen
Sorry to revive an old thread When i removed the PTO cover, I didnt see a nut on the main shaft holding the input gear (FTC5087) onto the shaft even though the shaft is threaded I cant see a nut for this in my parts manual Is there a nut holding this gear in place? Thank you
lo-fi
There's no nut, the input gear is mounted in the transfer box in dual bearings. The threaded end on the LT77 mainshaft is not used in this application.

Thank you I wouldn't call that a thread revival! It's got to be at least a couple of years for that, it's barely been a month! Steve
