Dave Gill
I reckon they are M8's - but they're normally dirt cheap form your dealer.

western
if you really want the genuine LR plugs ask your dealer or parts supplier for 2 x ERC7295, one in timing case & one in gearbox/clutch housing.

reads90
But what ever they cost they are worth it. This is what happens to the inside of your timing cover if you don't use them. And found this as the cambelt had snapped, because the tensioner had stopped working bacause of the mud
russ1
was at the dealer and they say they dont make them no more because the holes are there to let water out, couldnt get them to understand that the plugs are for wading so all the carp doesnt get in. Showed them the hand book saying to fit the but he said it was wrong

JimAttrill
But DO take the plugs out occasionally, cos your timing belt and clutch don't like running in oil
chb
I use a cork, yes a cork from a wine bottle, if it can keep wine in a bottle for 10 years it should be good enough, just cut to fit Cheers Charlie
russ1
went back to the dealer today as i needed some more bits and bobs, gave them the number for the plugs and he said thats the wrong number but i know what you want and went away and came back with a core plug!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! western
Good to see you got them in the end, I'd find another genuine dealer, that one obviously hasn't got a clue.
