zulublue
Hi all, does anyone know where I can get a set of wheels balanced, I live in the Birmingham / Warwickshire area, I have been to 2 garages now and none of them have a centre boss big enough to hold the rim. The rims are just modulars Any ideas

LR90
Anyone got any positive (or negative I guess) first hand experience of using balance beads?
white90
Trev no but I had my wheels balanced and still the steering shook so I removed the weights a few at a time till the shaking was more bearable
GBMUD
Anyone got any positive (or negative I guess) first hand experience of using balance beads? Paul W has had them fitted in his new tyres but since he is making WW look prompt in building the new truck it may be some time till we hear about it. Litch
In all the years I have had LR's I have never had a dealer say they can't balance LR wheels, maybe you are just unlucky on the garage you went to? The most recent balancing I had done was earlier this year on my new ZU alloys but that was due to getting the balancing itself right, once again no problems getting the wheels to fit the machine.
