Hope Springs. Yes, I bought a vehicle from him a while ago, and caught a bad cold....he is a bit of a sharp operator, and gets very hostile when you take issue with him... Have you had a bad experience ? B

Guest diesel_jim
To be honest i had to look it up "look left and right when crossing" isn't it?
rtbarton
"look left and right when crossing" isn't it? Not in the UK, it's "look right, look left, look right again and if it's all clear cross the road."

beowulf
Caveat emptor, I'm afraid.Mo Yeah, fair comment....and when I bought my pile of rust and aggravation, I didn't take the proper precautions of checking the vehicle thorughly...so I can only blame myself for letting heart rule head.. However, I did pay good money for it, and when I sought redress, his attitude was sue and be damned... I'll never deal with him again...and would caution anyone else to be very wary of him...but then that advice holds good for any car dealer these days...it's still an industry bedevilled by cowboys.... Kind regards, B

Kind regards, B this guy seems to have a reputation - even the mild mannered and very professional guys at Liveredge know of him. He is selling a "Liveridge refurb" at the moment that they know nowt about! best way with folks like him is to stay away and, if you have been done, go see him with a BIG friend and start to talk the language that he might just understand..... Hi All I just bought the "Liveridge Refurb" from MRM. Not sure about the authenticity, but does seem to have had a ton of work done - chassis, body etc. Fairly straight having checked it out, although the exhaust did drop off on the way home!! DOH! Would be interested to find out if Liveridge have breathed on it, it has the stickers all over it and a really nicely trimmed interior. Your man does seem to be very sharp though. Wouldn't want to go back - maybe because we gave him a very sick Freelander as a swap. Live by the sword, die by the sword - One up for the consumer eh!!! simonwh
I wanted to view a Defender 130 he had advertised in LRO last year. He was very unhelpful on the phone and was too busy to meet me 'for a few weeks' I bought a 130 from elsewhere.

Hi Tim Good luck - I was interested but called Liveridge before visiting to do a check and they had never come across that reg before but they did know of MRM and were very professional but at the same time pretty damning (in the kind of way that they probably did not want to be if you know what I mean?) Obviously you have been, seen and bought so you will know far better than I as to how good or bad it really is - I just have trust issues with car dealers and always judge the guy selling moreso than the vehicle. The Liveridge guys are very knowledgable and honest with one of the best reputations around so i took their view as gospel and stopped there. In the end I went to Shardlow 4X4 and they have been great - honest guys and good service - cannot fault them really. Got a similar vehicle to you in the end - V8 LPG Hybrid with tons of extras and toys Let me know how you get on and if you are going to be around the South Lincs area PM me and we can meet up! Charles Hi Charles Glad you found one! You just never know with car dealers, let's face it most would stab your granny for a bag of humbugs. Everything seems to be going ok, running ok. Needs a few bits sorting, track rod ends, belts etc but nothing horrid. Don't get down to the Lincs area all that often and it was scary treck to Grantham with the half dead Freelander. Good run back in the 90 though so who knows, road trip could be beckoning. I think the reg has changed with a private plate on previously. Will probably give Liveridge a tinkle anyhoo to do some digging. Cheers mate Tim
