Arjan
Garmin for me. Never failed me, both in the UK or somewhere in the EU / Russia My 267 has a large screen, updates through WiFi and apart from making coffee does about everything needed on board. If you want to avoid getting caught by cameras, slow down and pay attention. ^ This. There's free navigation apps that can use OpenStreetmap maps, free to download so they work even with no coverage. Also these days £50 gets you an Android double-DIN touchscreen stereo that will run navigation, play MP3's, show a reversing camera and stream from your phone. lo-fi
Worth mentioning that Google maps now shows you the speed limit too. Not always right yet, but I've not had it show higher. And the traffic info is incredible. Why you'd buy a single purpose, dumb sat nav device for domestic use these days baffles me.
