missingsid
Don't know about Stombergs but SU HIF you can adjust the mixture with a screw not factory set only? This proved very usefull to me on both my V8 Land Rovers but might not be important to you as I had changed my exhuast systems from standard. Marc. Guest weeble
Personally I would use the SU`s anytime but only if youve got all the other bits to go with them.

Hybrid_From_Hell
SU are far superior off road, and many RR 3.5 switched to SU for improved performance and tuning capabilities Nige
Mo Murphy
I'd go for strombergs every time but I couldn't get the manifolds for my 300 Tdi Coat ........ and running Mo

tacr2man
both SU and stromberg are adjustable but the strom needs a special tool. THe HIf SU tunes a bit better because the jet assy compensates for fuel temp THe other plus for the SU is no rubber diaphagm to split thats about it both are constant depression variable orifice and jet carbs you pays your money and takes your choice
