Drill Hammer Hacksa Oh, sorry I mean, on your orginal key set there should be a metal tab with the serial numbers on for a replacement key. That's if you have both orginal sets? AndyEvans
nope as its a 1990 90 which i know has had all the locks replaced to match. ive got a key that will unlock the front doors but not the back door or fuel filler cap.
LandyManLuke
I'd try the other keys for starters, LR locks aren't particularly complicated things.
darthdicky
I bought a replacement cap (about £14 I think) as mine leaked on side slopes and found that both the new and old keys worked on both caps. It's a simple lock so before battering it I'd give that a try - you'll need a new cap anyway! Richard
landmannnn
I had this happen and just forced it off with a tyre iron. It just broke the little locking tab so the cap still worked but did not lock or unlock.
sheppy
ive locked my keys in the car once and opened it in 20 secs using a cable tie and a screwdriver with no damage.... sure the filler cap is the same...

Greenmobile
Try any other suitable sized keys first. My roof box key will open the drivers door on the 110.
Guest mortus
yeah, ive got 3 different keys for my landrover, all quite obviously visibly different, but they all unlock all the locks.
AndyEvans
thanks for the advice in the end i just twisted it off with a pair of grips and hay presto. found i can open the drivers door with any key i have to hand now. time to get a bit more security on it i thinks.
