honitonhobbit
Tim, Tony, sent you both an email last night. also had routes attached. Did they get through?I should be there for 0945hrs latest. Tim 55l I believe a pre TD5 type tank holds on a 90. i am expecting as below tomorrow: 1. JST + John 2. Pugwash 3. Walfy 4. TC+HT 2nd grp 5. Tight Fart? 6. John (John_T) 7. Will, Lucy, Thomas and Henry aboard the Beasty 110 8. Tim (TJ101) 3rd Group 9. Pete 10. S4x4R 11. David (honitonhobbit) 12. The desire is for last grp to leave the car park by 1000hrs. If you arrive after and wish to catch up by all means give me a ring on the mobile. The aim of the day is to do some gentle greenlanes that any 4x4 should be able to do on AT tyres without too much trouble, so please dont expect anything too much. Lunch is planned to be at the pub from 1230 onwards (depending on how quickly you get through the route, with an hour or so of routes post lunch) For those that want some more testing lanes, we could then go onto these. look fwd to seeing you all there Add to that Paul Challis and Mike Green, with Pete turning up in the afternoon... V8CAMEL
good day out made all the more fun by a little snow. The last lane uphill was a tad slippery. sorry about the delay whilst i went on a fuel hunt. If i had know that the last lane was it i had plenty left heyho. John_T
As Wallace would say, "A Grand Day Out!". Thanks to James for his organization and to all for letting a new guy come with you. A few pics. First the mandatory cheesey Tarr Stepps photos. Tim takes it steady due to the lack of fondness the V8 has for dampness! Will makes more of a splash! I spent most of the day looking at the back of Will's truck. Here it is wobbling its way down Stone Lane. And finally, towards the end of the day it sort of went...well....white! Thanks again for a nice day! John

JST
A couple of photos from the 29th: Morning line up less the front group: Pugwash making a splash: It was a tad frosty! and then some snow coming down Bury: Mark - sorry the ones of yours were too dark. hope you got back ok today and get the fuel leakoff pipes sorted. Jim - this is what that crossing can look like (going the other way), me in my old 110: coming out (just):
Guest WALFY
James Thanks for another good day out . Good to put some more faces to names from the forum. James if you need to look at my engine setup anytime give me a bell. Not sure how often I can get to a PC in the week. If you fancy some lanes at the end of the week let me know. pugwash
thanks for organising another great day out again James. bury down was definitely enough for me- when you start sliding with the brakes off you know it's time to call it a day! great fun though. great photos of that ford on exmoor- no wonder you were a "little unsure" about whether you should be going through or not- reckon you probably had a very close shave by the looks of it! Tight Fart
Do'h, sorry I missed it, looks a good day out. My DIsco failed the MOT on wed (miserably) so got to start work getting it going again. Next time hopefully it will be on the road again.
