DefcoL
This will be removed as soon as the moderator appears.this is the section for members vehicles not bluddy petitions Agree that it is in wrong section... but disagree with the "bluddy petitions" aspect... it is along running issue that affects us all IMHO... Say nothing and you will get nothing unless others speak for you. How much has fuel go up in the last 12 months? How much more will it go up? is there justification for the TAX? at the level that it is! I for one travel 33/45k mls per annum and have to pay that from My pocket, not from an expense account.. if a LR forum is not the place to discuss issues that affect our Landrover usage, then where is? I do not aim to upset anyone, but do like the freedom to disscuss
white90
plenty of freedom to discuss most things! but in the correct section as for Fuel I have sod all idea and pay what it costs just like everyone else. the sections are on this forum for a reason or shall we have a free for all? perhaps have this topic in Classifieds? PS tell me of one petition that has made one bit of difference? I bet you'll struggle. we have seen many of them pass by and since fuel has gone up 25p/l so I for one won't bother with this one. As said I agree it is in wrong section and should be moved, may be to the section that is for "Using your Land Rover for work, play and travel" also agree that (it seems that) I'll struggle..... and it again seems no petition has made one bit of difference. But does it really harm to try?
python
if we dont at least try then one thing is for sure, nothing will change except the duty will rise more.

Most likely just spin, but the petition against the Road Usage Toll petition resulted in an email advising that those in power had decided not to implement it. It also indicated "Technical Reasons" exept that my company was the supplier and it works in Germany. PS that was NOT an endorsement for it's use as I travel 100 miles a day to get to work! Marc. Coastcard
IIRC there are some local and mayoral elections this week. They WILL take notice of the results of that, so get your opinions on a ballot paper.

Tractorboy16
if you don't sign /vote, then all you can do is shut up, no vote, no say, no complaining then. i know i like to be heard so have to sign, especially when in farming we have seen the price of fuel rise from 20 pence a litle in 2004 to 54p/l this month, thats one hell of an extra expense when we use over 600 litres a day and we haven't seen our prices increase that much to counter act it, James
