oddballrovers
Hi Folks I have now read through the rules and regs for TFC and in them it is stated that you are not allowed to do drive assist winching in and out off the start and finish gate, how does that work in real world terms, are there no drive assist at all or am I not getting the point. Can someone please enlighten me on this Kind regards Ole.
gsr341
hi ole was the same last year its to stop the land either side of the forest roads and the forest roads from beeing wrecked , generally the entrance exit points are easy and could acctally be driven slowly , with out any risk of wheel spinning and churning the ground up
Andy-T
Hi OLe, I think that this has been answered already - I will however explain my reasoning. The land we use is Forest Enterprise land and is also accessible to the general public. Following the first event staged it became apparent that our exit & entry points remained very obvious, partly due to the design of the sections. As a result of this a decision was taken to reduce any visible impact on the land by enforcing strict conditions for the exit & entry to the sections only! Tread lightly, to such a degree that it will be impossible to see we have ever used this land once the grass has straightened!! Once we are out of sight of the road usual service will resume!! Regards, Andy Thomlinson. Chairman. Scotia Winch Challenge Club. TFC 2008.
