Oh Forum, where shall i go, what shall i do?

Hi Folks

I've recently moved to Coventry after many many years living in Liverpool, bit of a culture shock. I've got myself a job working for a supplier of JLR which means spending lots of time playing with prototype Land rovers and Jaguars all over the place (Gaydon, Mira, Canada) so VERY much worth the move. But i dont know anyone in Coventry and more importantly i dn't know any useful places!

So what do you know, any good places for building supplies, metal working supplies and metal stockists, anywhere good for a curry and or a pint. Any good competitions that go on in the area? Any contacts for marshalling off road motorsport? Any good clubs and or meets? And anything else that you think might be useful to know?

I'm likely to be without the landy for some time as i wont have space to put it or indeed funds to run it so its staying in Liverpool for the time being. But i have bought a house with a reasonable garage! Whoop! Its my first house, in Potters Green (CV2 2G )

On which topic any good builders that you can recommend would be handy.

Get yourself a proper job, one that is unrewarding and no-one appreciates you - just like the rest of us

Don't know Coventry very well, but plenty of nice pubs if you head out of town in most directions, and you can always head into Birmingham for a Balti.

Ah someone had mentioned you had disappead down south. The job sounds right up your street playing with cars and design. Afraid i don't know anything about coventry but hope its going well, and will see you in liverpool sometime.

Mud-Club Coventry & Warwickshire section meet at the Coventry Oak Ansty Road Coventry Last Monday of the month regularly and organise P&P Days Locally and green laning

Depends on what you are interested in motorsport but Coventry has a good Stadium which does speedway and Various Stock Car type event includes F1 stock Car first Saturday of the month April to November.

Not some one who drinks much, But Coventry isn't the best place to drink nightlife usually better in Leamington.

You may well see me around as I'm not that far from you, I work at Gaydon and I'm going to training at Whitley for the next few weeks.
