If you know Drizz then this would come as no supprise.... ;)

He's sent so many (Usually good) car shells to the scrappy that China had to write to him to ask him to send no more as they have a stockpile of steel now.

Tried out the Discos roof rack, handy to have:

My mate gave me a set of ladder brackets, so a plan was hatched:

Welded a nut and washer on the end:

Cut the hook parts off and drilled some holes:

Marked and cut my waffle boards:

Tried them for size:

Welded some plate on to stop them dropping:

Drilled a hole and rivetted them in place to stop them spinning:

Cut down the bar and job done:

make sure you take those off before encountering trees, all 3 of mine died this way :P .

they were useful though, i could carry haybales on the roof and use the racks to stop them moving lol.

and dont forget to take those waffle board brackets off the bonnet when driving on the road, mr plod wont like them cos if you hit a person you will take there head off!

;)

That would leave to 2 rods welded to the bonnet and surely that would be worse.

And also all sharp edges have rubber caps, and with the height of it, the person i runover would have to be a giant to hit them. Itll be the bumper, spots, steering guard, Big tyres that would get them long before that! Thats why i put them as near to the windscreen as possible...
