bombx3
on my 90 on full lock i get a clicking from somewhere under the bonet but it doesnt do it on standard wheels, they arnt rubbing could it be the weight of the tyre over loading the steering box,
TheRecklessEngineer
Clicking on full lock is normally a knackered CV joint...but it would do it with standard rims too....
bombx3
i hope not only done 700 miles
TomG
Check the panhard rod bolts along with all the balljoint nut and the big nut holding the drop arm to the steering box - extra force of turning the larger tyres will be putting more counteracting force through the panhard. Mind you with 700 miles you'd think everything should be tightened from factory to the correct values. Also, are the tyres contacting the radius arm on full lock before the steering stop? maybe the steering stop needs to be wound out a bit?
