I am going to see one next week and wondered if there was anything special i should look for other than the usual Defender problems? It has a Nissan 3.5 turbo diesel engine fitted rather than the V8. muddy Posted February 12, 2009 Share Posted February 12, 2009 Using a sharp hammer test solidy the underside of the chassis, 127's have a plat welded the full length that covers up numerous drain holes yet allows water inbetween the two plates causing rot. Rear body crossmember is worth checking (like a SW one) but apart from that i cant remember anything other different from the normal things to look for. Will.
