Full beam gone awol

sounds to me as if you may have either a faulty switch or faulty dim/dip relay, flash and main beam use the same wiring and fuses on the circuit, if you have flash then that's an easy check on bulbs and wiring, that leaves you 2 things to check, the relay or the switch, if you check the feeds from the switch to the relay you will be able to determine which is faulty.

hope this helps in some way.

I have had this more than once.

Same as Goz says.

The Flash contact and the Main Beam contacts are both connected to the same point to power the relay.

If one lead breaks or the contact is faulty then you have the situation where the flash will still work but not the Main Beam.

Some times this is a weak contact in the cluster some times it is a broken wire.

You can either take it apart to look or replace it.

Marc.
