tube thickness

im just about to order some steel tube for the rear tray and front wing and carnt deside on what thickness of tube to get its so would like alittle help

the choises i have is 50.8 x 2.03 or 50.8 x 3.2 as i say it not suporting the cage or anything but will be mounted to th same spreader plates as the rear stays of the roll cage thank dave

50.8 ? .........thats CDS then ?

Either of the wall thicknesses you mention are strong, stronger than Blue Band, but the usage is a tad

different, ie sqeezing against a tree etc can flatten / bow a tube easier than you'd thing, if the weight

isn't an issue then go for the thicker as that the only downside :)

Reducing the diameter will improve impact resistance but will bend easier, so maybe smaller and thicker is the best way forwards?

Like 45mm x 2.5mm :) - this still complies with the MSA requirements too. Not that it's a concern for you here, though....
