Can you identify these electrical bits ?

MogLite

Recommended Posts

I've been striping down the wiring loom from a 1991 EFI Rangie ready to transplant only the necessary bits into MogLite.

I've got a few bits that are troubling me, and its a right pain in the eyes trying to pick them out of the wiring diagrams.

First one

2nd one - seems to be a changeover relay

3rd one - I haven't got a scoobie

Last one - a Hella relay

Hopefully some of you will seen these before and will instantly know what they are.

Many thanks, from me and my optician :)

1 ???

2 could be a rear fog light relay, just going on the red/yellow cable colours

3 is a dimdip transformer, this allows the dip beam part of the bulb to come on with sidelights at about 10% brightness, fitted to vehicles to prevent them being used in built up areas on sidelights only, just to make the vehicle more visible to dumb/stupid pedestrians.

4 could be a lighting or headlight relay

Nice one Western - thats one in the bin :)

On the first one is written

2455 RBV

260 908

L10C

Made in the UK

46-90

There is a tag on the black wire with 4890 on it

Apart from the black wire, the red/slate changes to a blue/black after the connector !!

Hi Guys,

I recall seeing item 1 on my RR & after looking what it was when I found mine it is the thermostat for the heated washer jets & is normally located behind the grille by the drivers headlamp!

Hope this helps!

Regards,

and the green relay is used for driving the low water level warning light

Well at least I think it is. The pin-outs certainly match with this How-to but I can't find it on my wiring diagram.

Not to worry - it was one of the relays I was looking for !!
