So, what was your RTI score?

Si

800 (ish) forwards....

and 840 in the end backwards I think.

Not sure on the final one, as went up a few times!!!;)

Ian

P.s. should have gone a bit higher so people could see a 'genuine' X-Eng Handbrake!!!

I was there but didn't get to see the twist off 'cos I was booked on a high-speed drive in the RR Sport Supercharged and the guy buggered off without me so I had to wait round for the next one :( worth it though, damn those things are quick

IMHO it was not quite up to last year's due to the LR "Terapod" (the artificial off-road course thing) being set up slap bang in the middle of it and taking up a hoooge space that should've been the arena (could LR not drive round while stuff went on in the middle?)

Apart from that, still a very good little show and a great atmosphere.

AND my "new" Rangie made it all the way there and back without a hiccup, which amazed me as I was expecting something to go wrong. I even managed to fit the stereo and get the windscreen washers working while I was there. We also sussed out the club generator, eventually...

Only gripe (apart from the LR Terapod) is they STILL have the same guy doing the tannoy as last time, by crikey he's dull and doesn't appear to know anything about landies either. Oh and I think the charm of the organ-truck was beginning to wear a little thin on those that were parked near it by Sunday PM

I agree....

Overall though, not that bad. Some bits were better than last year.

I realized after i posted that it may have appeared i was asking for "ladies things"! i meant the micro super absorb towels you take tenting ( was about £20 each at Gaydon last year)

is that what you meant Les?

Lifeventure is the best make for them, although at 20 it wasn't much of a sale. they are about this retail for the XL ones and about 24 retail for the Super large ones.

Google for - Lifeventure soft fibre towels and should find plenty of places to buy.

Cheers

Steve

Nice articulation Porny - we watched you go up and down after the 110 Tombraider and thought you were going to fall off!

Some bloke told me off for ruining my 50th with the winch and mud tyres. I smiled nicely and assured him that it all would unbolt and I put the original alloys with the AT's on for special long-distance occasions!

It was definitely smaller, but very friendly all the same.

Richard Beddall on the microphone strikes a reasonable balance between being knowledgable and anorak IMO.

It was miles off tipping..... I think  Did get quite close to the top though!!!!

Not bad for standard springs..... and a few tweaks!!! And nothing orange in sight!

There was some 'interesting' people there.... some bloke was telling me that Land Rover 90's were rare!!!.... esp. truck cab ones. Hrmmm.... must have walking round with his eye's shut!!!

Funny you should say that ! we were looking at yours and said the same thing! LOL!!

Now now.......

Has anyone got a pick of me taking Laura's golf up the twist off ramp?

According to Ian it nearly went as far as the Freelander, but I am sure it is the other way round!

Managed to blow the other head gasket on the way home tho, so the Disco is now one sick pup.
