tommac
hi all, After some pointers- my td5 90 fog light works if i hold the switch in but doesnt stay on if left- very odd, my guess is the realy is not working- can anyone point me in the direction of said relay? Thanks
white90
Sounds more like the switch to me
Aragorn
Depends if its supposed to be a latching switch, or just a momentary one which powers a latching relay?
tommac
ok, thanks for comments- will try and look into it a bit further over the weekend!
western
IIRC it's a push for on & push again for off [momentary switch, switches the earth path not the live feed]
crwoody
It's a bit more complicated than that on a Td5 I'm afraid, see diagram below. The switch is a momentary contact operating the "Fog lamp ECU" (which I suspect is little more than a latching relay) which applies power to the lamp. I've no idea where the "ECU" is mounted though.
