billrawles
Ok, this will be a challenge! About 10 years ago I bought a Disc brake conversion from Chris Perfect Components for my Series 3. The parts were put together by TI Console - now defunct as is CP Components and trying to contact them has got me nowhere. The calipers are from a merecedes MB100 van and spares are easy but the discs are prooving to be a problem. I think the discs were machined down from a larger size. The size needed is 262mm by 16mm solid. Is any-one familiar with the conversion and know what vehicle the discs were from? Does any-one know of a data base of discs where I might be able to search using the dimensions I have? I dont want to go back to drums or have to fork out again for a new kit. Any help much appreciated!

Gremlin
Try searching for a santana dealer, the kits were based on the santana ps10 brakes, so parts should be available and common. G
billrawles
Ta for the replies. The kit Heystee do now is different - both the caliper and the disc have changed and they dont have any real knowledge of the old TI Console stuff. Wilwoods are all vented. Jon White
IIRC these disks were one offs made specificially for this conversion. Methinks you may be out of luck I'm afraid!
CJRH
Hi, the link isn't working at the moment on this website, but last time I looked they list just about every disc brake with all dimensions. tiagoc
Ta for the replies. Heystee was TI Console (owned by the same guy), so he knows everything there is to know about the old (pre Santana PS10) disk brakes. He was very helpfull, too, when I needed some information about other parts...
billrawles
I've been in touch with Hetstee again - they weren't specially made but are now very hard to find and Heystee are thinking of making some now. Presumably there must be a little bit of a demand for them, I cant be the only person to have splashed the cash on this kit 10 years ago!! CJRH thanks for that website, I'll try it later. Martin Cooper
I've jsut found thsi thread. i too spalshed the cash on 4 x discs all round. from Chris in 2003. i heard they were peugeot van calipers, having jsut gone over from Mercedes (in 2003 anyway) so a look in the peugeot bin might help you. let me know how you get on!
