LR90
Doesn't tell us what the new diesel engine will be in 2007 but does say that production is planned through to 2010 with the vehicle in its current form which has to be good news. automobile.com
FridgeFreezer
I thought it would be the Transit lump, hopefully not the same one as my transit... still, might make some decent off-the-shelf engine swaps a possibility.

Andy
well we all must know from trips up lanes that the best offroad toy EVER is a stock white transit driven by a hippy. they can be found parked at the end of lanes you just winched up with your tricked up LR. western
This bit is interesting too, always thought of our favourite vehicle as a light truck B) NOT a softy car One of the main reasons why Land Rover is still able to build the Defender in this day and age is that its classified by the European Union and FIA as a light commercial vehicle rather than a passenger car. Because of this, Land Rover is able to bypass the NCAP passenger and pedestrian safety tests.
