Alarm and little dog

Hi

When parking up the Td4 we press the zapper, she locks and sets the alarm in most cases that's perfect. Ever now and again we need to leave the little fella in the car but if we zap-it he set's the alarm off. Can the vehicle be locked without setting the alarm, I am just wondering if it is just a simple case of using the key the the door lock, if so dose this effect the alarm settings when you go back to using it in a normal way.

Thanks

Land Rover recommended superlocking at all times (using the key fob.) However in your instance it is fine to lock the hippo using the key if you are leaving pets or passangers in the car. Just remember when everyone is out to use the remote to lock up :P

Turning the key once in the lock will lock it and engage the external alarm.

Turning the key twice in the lock will superlock it and engage the external alarm.

Using the fob will superlock it and engage interior ("volumetric") and external ("perimetric") alarm.

The first option would allow someone to smash the window and open the door from the inside. The second and third wouldn't.

It's all in the manual.

Cheers
