Petergg
Hi, Have just fitted a new Rad to my TD590, the gauge now reads a lot lower than before and go's up and down. When going fast 40+ the gauge rise's to just under half way, at 30 and stationary it drops to just above the blue, all ways stayed just under half way before where does yours sit please? The thing I have done is re pipe my gear box oil cooler, taken a 19mm pipe from the top hose near pump and that draws water from bottom hose nr rad. Any thoughts? Petergg
mine runs to the left of vertical all the time with a viscous fan fitted! Thanks, sounds the same as mine use to, I am waiting for it to cool down a bit and try again I might have a air lock but don't think so. BogMonster
Just under half is normal for a Td5 if all is working properly and the instrumentation is right. There was an issue with wiring harnesses a while back but if you haven't been into the harness at all then it won't be that.
cols110
My temp gauge sits just under 1/2 by about 1mm, I`ve never seen it touch the full 1/2 mark yet, and thats pushing it hard in the desert, with air-con on in +45deg temps. The cooling system on these TD5s is absolutley spot on. I have no idea what they are like on the cooler side as even on a cold start at 5am on the way to work, mine is still reading at the moment as the temp does`nt get below 30 at night. SteveG
Thanks, very interesting.Peter Yes it does, Ricki has now replied and it looks like it does everything that it says, so 220 pounds price looks good value to me, especially compared to Rovacom Lite etc. Cheers Steve
