Tiger seal is NOT seam sealer, do not use it on all joins it will not come apart! (as you know james!) use if for sticking stuff you want stuck till the end of the world. (in fact the stuff will apprehend cockroaches)

Seam sealer is much better to deal with. I have just bought 5 litres of red oxide and and 5 litres of grey oxide gloss from a company called paintmaster, it sticks well and the gloss is a decent finish, they also do machinery enamels and skip paint etc very helpful plus the 10litres of paint was only £25 :)

I dont usually pay more than a tenner for a pot (500ml???) of brush able seam sealer.

Will.

Grey stripe is a good one although I'm pretty certain they are all PU sealant be they Tiger Seal or Grey Stripe. Certainly all of them are incredibly difficult to remove. When it comes to priming bare metal look at the Tractol cold galvanising paint, it's supposed to come close to the properties of hot dip galvanising although I'd take that with a pinch of salt.
