need4speed Posted October 7, 2012 Share Posted October 7, 2012 I noticed that there is a large hole in the passenger side footwell of my td5 bulkhead. Doing some searches i found conflicting opinions...surprise surprise. I found one article that suggested its for the routing of the td5 wiring loom. Another said it was for air-con pipework on those vehicles that had it as an option. Which is true? If its a hole for air-con equipment i will just blank it off. Jode Posted October 15, 2012 Share Posted October 15, 2012 Not terribly elegant but I've used flashband (the alu foil with a tar-like adhesive on the back, which is used with a torch for simple flashing repairs on roofs etc.) in the past to seal smallish bulkhead holes.
