Big.Mike
Okay, I was looking down the length of my 110 and I realised, nothing is straight. She had a new Chassis on her some time ago and I just can't see that the body was put on properly. How do I get her straight and true? Cheers, Mike
Ben_J85JTY
Without appearing too disparaging. The factory can't make them straight so what makes you think us mere mortals have a chance?
Retroanaconda
Actually all the new ones I've seen have been pretty straight! The only way to do it properly is to loosen all the mounting bolts and spend a happy day lining it all up. The way I do it is to set the rear tub in line with the rear crossmember first, then from that your door gaps give you your bulkhead position (which you shim out from the chassis as required) and then the wings go on the front. You've got to get the barrel-side bulge in line all the way down. Good luck!

bluespanner
As long as the doors shut, I'm happy.
JeffR
Aslong as the door gaps are small enough to prevent a small child falling out....
Retroanaconda
If you're happy with your draughts and leaks then who am I to judge?
oneandtwo
Is the chassis actually straight? I have purchased 3 new galv ones from usual aftermarket manufacturer in the past and not one has been straight. One was so bad it had to be replaced. My current new one has a crossmember 10mm out of line front to back
