g90
Does anyone know if a bonnet off a 2005 will fit my 1994 defender? cheers

muddy
Yes but the bonnet stay is different, I'm not sure if you vcan fit an older stay to a td5 bonnet but everything else is ok.

Snagger
They do swap over with minimal changes, but why do it? The new bonnets are much dearer, can't mount a spare wheel on, can't be walked on as easily (if that sort of thing floats your boat) and get stolen far more often to be sold on ebay (usually to the poor sod who's car it came from). Are you thinking of the 2007-onwards (Tdci) bonnets with the bulge in them? Td5 bonnets are, externally at least, no different from the older ones. western
internal frame is different to the pre td5 bonnets & there isn't a bonnet spare wheel mount for them from LR.

As long as that doesn't matter, then a swap should be simple. You may have to swap bonnet stay parts about, though.
g90
my bonnet looks like someone has been morris dancing on it, has a spare wheel mount on it, which i never have or ever will use and this new (to me) bonnet is cheap as chips
