Rangie46
Need to sort out the high pressure pas pipes on my v8 90 conversion, as the original 200tdi pipes don't work and neither do the p38 ones, do these run that high a pressure? As I was thinking of chopping both and using a hosetail connector to connect them together or do I go and get some made up from a specialist? steve b
Its around 100bar / 1400psi iirc so crimped hydraulic type fittings are required . is the steering box 200Tdi era too ? There are imperial threads on early PAS boxes and metric on later ones cheers Steveb
Bowie69
I think the v-belt V8's are a bit lower, around 900PSI, serp are higher at around the 1400PSI mark as you say, but yes, either way enough to need proper hydraulic pipes -what's your exact setup? You may be able to find something stock to fit....
Fatboy
I got high pressure hose and the end fittings that you can assemble yourself from Think Automotive. Really helpful on 020 85681172 or www.thinkauto.com Mine is a 4.6 V8 into an ex-200tdi 90.
Rangie46
Cheers guys, steering box is a four bolt, 90 was originally 2.5 n/a doozel and pump is 4.0 p38 type,I have the p38 pipe to so looks like I'll take a trip to pertek and get them to join the two together once again cheers
Fatboy
Sounds like your setup is similar to mine. Do you not fancy the Think Automotive solution which is rated for the job?

Rangie46
Thanks guys, a friend at a hose company was supposed to sort this out for me but as usual has disappeared all weekend, so I popped into pirtek today expecting silly prices, told the guy what I need and that I'm paying cash, took my old pipe and the rr one and 20 mins later and 30nicker all sorted
Team Idris
That's a good deal, as the 4 bolt box is something odd like 5/8" UNF? Which is utterly barking (brakes are 9/16" UNF so maybe marginally barking)
