defender dinky
hi,i am about to put a new bottom arm on my adwest steering box at the mo its a discovery one I'm changing it to a defender setup with a built in balljoint now at the back of steering arm there seems to be a slot and on the box itself theres a hole is this how you line them up by putting a pin through then remove the pin, dd
western
That's for centralising the box, search on here for that info, I've posted it a while ago
Anderzander
Also - I'd seriously consider sticking with the discovery arm. Those built in ball joints can be hideous to change....
landroversforever
Another vote for the disco drop arm. Its FAR easier to change one of those than the silly defender type in the future!
defender dinky
putting steering box on my defender 110 rebuild draglink has a swan neck fitting for steering arm and so I can fit damper,dd
Anderzander
You can get kits to fit the damper with a Disco arm.....
landroversforever
Using the disco drag link, you then use a clamp on damper mount. I didn't bother with the damper at all and my steering was lovely.
Monster
I'll have the discovery drop arm if you dont want it!
