Cornish Rattler
I finally got round to painting the rear axle yesterday ready for rebuilding it back up tomorrow, then once its built up I will give it all another coat
Cornish Rattler
Sorry not been on for a couple of days, didn't get much done on Monday as the paint was still tacky so I could only fit the back pletes, new wheel cylinder's and brake shoes, rebuilt and fitted the rear hubs with new seals, bearings and lock nuts then tried fitting the rear springs but found who ever fitted them last had fitted the two N/S ones wrong meaning the front was on the back and visa versa so I could only fit the O/S/R Spring so later today I will strip the other plates down, clean up and paint ready to fit on Friday. Had an email from Richards saying the chassis should be ready next week so I will have to get cracking on the front axle A.S.A.P.
Cornish Rattler
Stripped and painted the correct Spring plate just waiting for it to dry whilst I'm at work then I will fit the Spring and plate tomorrow as I need to use the trailer on Saturday
Cornish Rattler
Having a break from the 2a later today as I need to sort the garage out as its a tip in there now so once I have sorted the garage out I will start on the front axle on Monday but need to sorce a RR diff for the rear axle then I can fit the half shafts but if we have to we can fit that after the new chassis is sat on the axles. N/S/R Spring and plate now fitted inc the wheels for easy moving
Cornish Rattler
Stripped the front axle down, paint stripped it and repainted it, fitted the Def diff to paint the diff and axle as one then once they are dry I will remove the diff to fit the gasket and refit the diff with new nuts and washers. Pic's tomorrow
Cornish Rattler
Some pic' from the weekend removing the part finished rear axle from the trailer ( awaiting new drums and a RR diff to complete ) then yesterday loading the front axle onto the trailer and stripping it all down, de-painting and re-painting. The Def diff was only fitted with old gasket for painting as one unit so tomorrow I will remove the diff again and refit it with a new gasket and new nuts and washers
Cornish Rattler
Axle will be getting another coat once its all built up aswill the rear axle once we get a diff
Cornish Rattler
Removed the diff yesterday to replace the gasket now the paint had dried and refitted the diff in place so weekend i can finish rebuilding the axle up. Son's g/friend's dad is collecting the chassis today from Richard's chassis with one of his Scaffolding wagons, taking it to his work place then dropping it off once i have finished the axle at the weekend Yipee
Cornish Rattler
New chassis arrived yesterday and now resting against the back wall of the garage, originally it was supposed to be going into storage at son's g/friend's dad's business premises whilst i finish off the front axle but as the axle should be finished this weekend we decided to bring it straight here instead so hopefully it should be sat on the springs in the next week or so, anyway here's some pic's
Bowie69
If those are the orange deflex poly bushes, I would encourage you to find something different, they are hard as nails and will really limit flex/comfort.

Ok thanks for that tbh I was expecting them to be the rubber ones so will look into changing them but poly bush though for easiness
