  1. That is hilarious šŸ˜† Shackles and string !
  2. I have a cabinet and plumbed my blast pot into it. That worked quite well - what I desperately need to do though is change the hose and nozzle from the blast pot. Itā€™s massive and so inflexible that itā€™s hard to use. I also struggled with the light and visibility - some helpful suggestions on here though saw me cut a hole in the side that I can fit a vacuum in - that made a really good difference.
  3. Blx indeed šŸ¤¦šŸ»
  4. Gosh - are you sure you want to move to St Annes ? Looks idyllic there !
  5. Iā€™m not sure I want a Baler .. I think Iā€™d contract that*. Itā€™s a haybob and mower that I really needā€¦.. but itā€™s way too much to ask of a relay! (*I canā€™t deny though that there is a bit of me that would love to make square bales and do the whole hay time thing.)
  6. Yes ! St Anneā€™s would be unbelievably convenient. My cousin is getting married not a million miles from you, at Gellifawr Woodland Retreat, Fishguard. Thatā€™s next year. Imagine if I turned up with a haybob and a mower šŸ˜‚ When you get up here - do let me know. Iā€™ll take you for a cup of tea. Do you have a date?
  7. Youā€™re a bit too far away Chris, sadly.
  8. Which standard ones are they going for Andy ? The progressive ones ?
  9. This is a thread that I imagined @JeffR would get a lot of use out of ?
  10. I will give it a go - Iā€™ve a bottle of xylene somewhere, which is the thinners for this.
  11. I donā€™t know if we need a thread like this ā€¦ but hereā€™s my starter ā€¦. Bullocks! My zinc richer primer lid hadnā€™t sealed properly and is dry to the bottom šŸ˜” not cheap either .. maybe I can weigh it in as zinc.
  12. I bought a cheap draper fixed torx bit in a 3/8 drive - easier to get the smaller ratchet in and it it doesnā€™t need much force.
  13. They do get swapped - the fill plug is usually a T55 torx bit - and the drain a hex head with magnetic pick up (though Iā€™ve seen plenty with the square plug, mine included) Canā€™t tell if your drain is a torx or the square one. You can swap it when you change the fluids if you want to?
  14. Not the full circuit / but you can see the wires and how it reaches the dash and ECU.
  15. I did wonder that myself - at first I thought it was in case the purple permanently live wire shorted and fed back .. but that red/yellow wire is the fog light and its warning light, which is spliced back into the dash and the ECU.
  16. Be careful of the cheaper MAF sensors, itā€™s a common experience that they have very short lives. Thatā€™s why itā€™s worth making sure you need one before you buy - and then buying the best you can. I used VDO, who are now rebranded to Continental.
  17. Thank you - thatā€™s very encouraging.
  18. So - Iā€™ve crimped the wire into half a crimp terminal and soldered the diode in. the solder isnā€™t bright - and the wires outside of the crimp are a little open .. probably because my eyes arenā€™t what they were .. but I think itā€™ll do.
  19. That would make sense because the coating doesnā€™t look like corrosion.
