Good question 🤔
It was on my last Td5 90 - and that was a standard chassis, but I did replace the crossmember and I ‘think’ the tough recoveries were on the replacement.
Just ordered one of these now:
Milwaukee 4932352473 Fixtec Nut, Multi https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B005F409D4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_26M3JEANN5M2QGNJW9TT?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Excellent !
😂
Not knurled - just like a normal one.
Onw of the things I was hesitant about was how big it is - but the soft start and how nicely balanced it is means it’s really nice and easy to handle.
Fixing the old one is beyond my current skill set. So I’ve gone for this.
It’s a lovely thing.
Seems to have a little gauze filter that clips onto the handle - and it comes with a spare.
Has an additional plastic guard too - which I haven’t seen before.
Only thing it hasn’t come with is one of those quick release fasteners. So I might look for one of those separately.
I’m in no way disagreeing with the above - but I have had a recovery point screwed onto the Td5 crossmember and recovered some very stuck things with it - and been recovered with it too and it’s never resulted in any deformation or failure.
I wouldn’t want to encourage anyone into doing something that was not safe, but it’s interesting to me what it has coped with.
That looks lovely. More pictures please!
I think you are right - cost is prohibitive at the eminent and range is poor.
The Lucid motors seem to fix the range - which is a step, leaving just the cost.
I think it’s coming .
Perhaps not for our generation though.
100% and not something you often here.Fossil fuels are in everything from condoms to plastic. Changing the fuels on our cars is on of many many steps that would need to be taken to break our dependence.
Let alone the energy boost we seem to now be ignoring.
