  1. More than one part number - I bet they are different heat ranges.
  2. Bowie makes a lot of sense 😊 The hotter you run your engine the cooler the plug. So higher compression or higher boost then a cooler plug. My experience is that if something is running rich or cool a hotter plug can clean it up. If things are getting too hot then too hot a plug can cause preignition, then a cooler plug can sort that out. One thing I might add is that eBay is flooded with fake spark plugs, and some of them are pretty rubbish. There are even guides out there for how they subtly differ in appearance from the real ones - so my advice would be - be wary of the cheapest and look at the ones with reviews. Ethanol burns cooler I’m told. Don’t know what difference it would make if you were to use it, either neat or mixed, Im afraid.
  3. 😅 phew - I was worried for a minute there. I had the same thing fitting the series housing onto the 200 - I bought new for that because I wanted the small hex wide flange bolts, so it’s look right.
  4. Looks ace ...... though what’s the story with the thermostat housing bolts ? 😳
  5. The accelerator controls the motor revs though - just like it does on a petrol or Diesel engine . So you can feel it and match motor speed to road speed in the new gear in the same way.
  6. They seem to be able to use the gearbox - or not! They can run it off just buttons for drive in forward or reverse - or change gear.
  7. The jaunt one has kept the gearbox and transfer box - I think you could get to a point where you fit it straight to the bellhousing.
  8. Not sure there’s enough common context for that to make sense?
  9. To add to that - a 300tdi turbo and manifold fits and lifts everything away from the chassis rail. The exhaust pipe sits a little closer to the engine mount, but that’s easily resolved.
  10. I’m not sure your target demographic of ‘checker-plate lovers from sink estates’ is the right one for those who want to maintain the use of classic vehicles. You seem to have made up your mind about the whole thing though: Diesel is dead, electric has no future, Veg oil will only be sold for cooking, and petrol is the way forward.
  11. Don’t forget veg oil. I would think both Diesel and Petrol are going the same way. It’ll be electric. In the mean time I’m getting 40 mpg and a lovely reassuring tick over.
  12. I was inferring Alistair Crowley likes the 200tdi, after all it seems to be the Devils engine . My humour.
  13. Pre 1980 you can go in .... In my series, with no sound proofing, the 200 is fine - the noise from the gearbox is far louder than the engine. One positive not called out here is the very low electrical dependency they have. For some people that simplicity is a positive. I think you go with what you want - ‘do as thou wilt shall be the sum of the law’ as another fan of the 200 once said.
  14. THAT’S where all the Carling Switches went ! 🤩 Head Unit looks nice 👍🏻
  15. You could brand that Clarkes and sell it in MachineMart
  16. A £40k G Wagen would be novel though wouldn’t it ?
  17. The difference seems to be that their marketing puff is branding a utility vehicle as a utility vehicle - whereas JLR are trying to present a luxury vehicle as a continuity of product from a utility vehicle.
  18. Thanks for these👍🏻 Just bought some bearings for some magnesium motorcycle wheels I have, that I’d been struggling to find 😊
  19. I’m biased because I find a good diesel tick over to be one of the most reassuring sounds going 😇
