  1. Sure he didn’t need help ? Or was perhaps being blown about by a particularly aggressive air con set up?
  2. Thank you ! I’ll have a look.
  3. It’s the mountains I’m thinking of ...
  4. I did think of speaking to Nige - but as it’s realistically a while before I’d be spending money .. I don’t want to take up his time.
  5. I might drop you a pm about that please...
  6. That’s interesting - could you share or point me to any details on them please?
  7. This is thinking ahead - and (I confess) maybe daydreaming a bit inspired by the video of those old small wheeled jeeps in Moab with lockers ... I’ve been wondering about options for my 80” - I’m running Rover P4 4.3’s in it, and I’ve already had one fall to bits. It would be nice to get some nice diffs built up - and it would be lovely to have an Ashcroft ATB in there (front and back) - but I think they are only available in 24 spline favour.... Well I wouldn’t want to try changing the tracta joints ... So that would mean I could use the Ashcroft rear series shaft conversion to have one in the back - but that led me to think ‘would I mind air and lockers’: I guess I could have some old 10 spline arbs built into front and rear diffs - or mix and match - with a 10 spline in the front and the Ashcroft 24 spline shafts in the rear with say an Ash locker in the rear ... Im gentle with the throttle, have small wheels, so it’s not out and out strength I’m thinking of - it’s just traction ... What would anyone else do ? Any opinions, thoughts or wisdom welcomed.
  8. Don’t worry - we can just put links between your two threads - or even consider asking an admin to merge them ? Either way I’m more than ready to pick up progress in the other one 😊👍🏻
  9. Cross member anyone ? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/114132105030 complete with patches and expanding foam 😂
  10. There was a chap on YouTube who fitted the ACR manifold and he turned the shackle bolt the other way - so the nut was on the outside as you mentioned. The shackles are threaded I think, so more than just swapping the bolt, but he said it was enough to work.
  11. Barmouth is a fair trek for a day at the Beach 😊
  12. I think that was engineering having their last hurrah - rather than McGovern’s Design ...
  13. Can we break the words down a bit - I’m lost .... So, I read it as: to keep the reg it has to be: The original unmodified chassis. Original as in the one it came with. or A new one (of the original type) direct from the manufacturer. New as in not 2nd hand, direct - as in not privately owned and resold, from the manufacturer being a bit grey between OEM and another provider. Is that wrong ?
  14. Just to pose a question ..... Should we separate out the legal conversion from CSK’s questions? In essence - give him his thread back 😂
  15. Do any of the Land Rover publicity shots show one with off road biased tyres ? They all seem to be low profile road tyres or AT’s.
  16. I was just about to write the same thing ! I had some OME shocks on my last 90 that I thought were pretty chunky - these are much bigger. IIRC it looks like Gwyn has changed his towers a little - I seem to remember mine had a small drilled hole in on of the faces to show which side went forward ? @ianmayco68 Thanks for the pictures 😊
  17. Perhaps the American market isn’t quite the target for trading of their past ? Or they don’t associate Range Rover with anything other than conspicuous consumption...
